Dear Air Cabin Crew Fund (ACCF) member

 

As I am sure you are aware, new data protection legislation came into force in 2018, known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and we need to ensure that we are compliant.

 

We have previously obtained information from British Airways relating to your contact information and sickness dates, as per your consent on your membership registration form, but we are now required to keep our members’ details within our own database instead of accessing them through British Airways.  We have been working closely with BA to find the most efficient way forward and now need you to confirm two points.

 

As a matter of urgency, please reply to this email answering the two following questions:

 

1.       Are you happy for British Airways to supply the ACCF with your address as held in PeopleOnLine?

 

Yes – I give consent for BA to supply my home address

 

No – I do not give consent for BA to supply my home address

 

(If your reply is NO, please provide your current address in your reply.  Please note that British Airways will supply your address one time only, at the end of June 2019.  It will be your responsibility to advise the Air Cabin Crew Fund of any future change of address.  The ACCF will not replace any benefit payment lost as a result of failure to notify them of a change of address).

 

2.       Are you happy for the ACCF to receive a report from British Airways giving the start and end dates of any sickness from 21 days duration?

 

Yes - I give consent for BA to give my start and end dates of sickness from 21 days duration.

 

No - I do not give consent for BA to give my start and end dates of sickness from 21 days duration.

 

(The report will give no information other than the start and end dates of sickness absence.  Please note that if you do not wish British Airways to provide this information, the ACCF will not be able to pay you any sickness benefit).

 

Please reply to this e-mail address – accf@ba.com giving clear answers to the above questions.

 

Failure to reply to this email will result in the ACCF being unable to support you with either vouchers or cheques at the appropriate trigger stages.
